One of the studies (no. 11) even reports that the Ayurvedic preparations were found equally effective as the allopathic compound in the management of iron deficiency anemia and the fact that the side effects were almost nil establishes them to be even superior.

The modes of action of drugs and procedures as stated in this chapter, which is without iron, have not been studied much in anemias.
