Roots of these plants are used for therapeutic purpose after purification. These drugs are mainly indicated in ''gulma''(abdominal lumps), ''udara'' (abdominal diseases including ascitis), and ''udavarta''. These drugs can liquefy ''kapha-pitta dosha'' and expel them out.
