Samadhi means concentration of the mind, meditation, deep trance, completion referring to “intense self-absorption”, contemplation. It is the state when the soul (atma) and the mind become one. When the soul and the mind mingle with each other as salt and water.[1] It is one of the treatment of psychiatric disorders due to rajas and tamas. [Cha.Sa.Sutra Sthana 1/58]
